You know you are loved by your granddaughter/niece when:
- She claims a playroom at your house.
- She skins her knee and starts crying for Pop to help her.
- She calls the pool "where Bay's swim lessons were".
- She gets out her doctor kit and pretends to be Nurse Erica.
- She loves going to the zoo with you.
- She always calls Samuel on her pretend phone. And he always says he'll come to dinner.
- She knows the names of your dogs and asks if they can have a playdate with Indy.
- She knows that a fun prize for completing her chart will be to have a treat with Ah-Bee.
- She thinks applesauce tastes better at Bee and Pop's house.
- She sees the magician at the library and says to me, "Hey, that guy is magic just like Bret!"
- She says her pretend name is Bagel.
- She wants to go to Brynn's school when she gets to be bigger.
- She wants to call Pop on the real phone and likes to leave him messages on his answering machine.
- She loves sleeping in the "red bed" at Ah-Bee's.
- She asks me if Brynn can come make cookies with her sometimes.
- She sees a helicopter, waves and says, "Hi Bret!"
