Bowthorpe news updates:

  • The ladies returned safely from the Charlie's Angels retreat. It was a great success. We are enjoying the scrapbooks and the recipe books. Loretta flew home on Sunday AM and Bonnie left today. It was fun having visitors. We got to try out the new basement bedroom. I think Bonnie froze because we had a cold weather snap and didn't turn on the furnace yet.
  • Bailz, who is a year older than last week, scored the only goal in her soccer game last week. Got a corner kick to go in. WOW! She's hot!
  • Alyson's garden is producing like crazy! We've picked about 10 or 12 pounds of green beans. Lots of tomatoes, raspberries, there are pumpkins galore, and a blue ribbon banana squash that's about three feet long (that's for me and Bryttin and we'll share with the grandparents).
  • Brynn started her job at the Bajio. Long hours, Veggie Burros, and Apple Beer! It's definitely not a get-rich-quick scheme.
  • Bret wrote real pen/ink letters to Brytt & Jas and also home. Great to hear about his experiences. His comp might get transferred this week.
  • Bailey's birthday was quite the extravaganza. She'll have to post the details and some pics. Pretty wild. Lots of friends. Craziness.
  • Okay, one more Bailz thing. She was campaign manager for her friend Mabel who was running for 8th grade VP. Found out today she won!!! Way to go Mabel and Bailey! [Have Bailey sing the campaign jingle, it's a hit!]
  • Seems like lots of us are interested in learning some spanish, including Bret. So let's share our vocabulary! Buenas noches, familia. Hasta manana. Or, as we like to say here in Holladay, Hasty bananas!

Oh Bret, you are as strange as a one-legged deer! ;) Hey- I would love a hunk of that squash though! That is a great thing about fall- the best veggies of the season. Charlies Angels was so much fun. We made these super cute scrapbooks (thanks to mom's hard work) and I think I'll make another one for Jason while I'm listening to Conference. Hey Bret- Do you get to listen to conference at home or do you go to the Stake Center? Brynn- Are you coming home this next weekend or are you working? Bailey- Are you awesome or what?! A goal and a winning slogan for Mabel! Cool! Love, the Big Sis
